Deep Yellow is focused on creating long-term value for its shareholders, stakeholders and the communities in which we operate. A key pillar to successfully achieving this goal is through the efficient, effective and ongoing implementation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) pillars.
With a management team that has a proven and successful history in the uranium sector, we understand the importance of sustainability and making it core to how we operate, as we move into pre-development and beyond. By taking an early approach to the implementation of key ESG practices and principles, Deep Yellow is focused on creating a company-wide approach to sustainable practices and developing the Company and our projects in the right way.
Our commitment to managing the ESG pillars is evident by the release of our first Sustainability Report covering the year ending June 2020. This provides transparency around advancing Deep Yellow in a sustainable manner. As an aspiring mining company, we believe we can and should have an immediate focus on ESG from early stages of exploration and development, positively influencing our culture and communities, with sustainability integral to our growth.
Our focused approach is already delivering on our stated goals, with Deep Yellow receiving the Namibian Safety Award for the last two years and maintaining the Inter-Mining Safety Certificate (Category 2 – Exploration Companies) awarded by the Namibian Chamber of Mines.
