Maintaining the highest of standards in sustainability and delivering long-term value to communities we operate in.
Deep Yellow is focused on creating long-term value for its shareholders, stakeholders and the communities in which it operates.
A key pillar to successfully achieving this goal is through the efficient, effective and ongoing implementation of environmental, social and governance (ESG) pillars.
With a management team that has a proven and successful history in the uranium sector, Deep Yellow understands the importance of sustainability and making it core to how the Company operates, as it moves into pre-development and beyond. Deep Yellow is focused on creating a company-wide approach to sustainable practices and ensuring projects are developed in the right way, by taking an early approach to the implementation of key ESG practices and principles.
Deep Yellow’s commitment to managing the ESG pillars was evident by the release of the first Sustainability Report in 2020. The 2021 and 2022 Sustainability Report continued to provide transparency around advancing Deep Yellow in a sustainable manner, particularly focussing on the Tumas Project as it advanced through to DFS.
Deep Yellow’s focused approach is delivering on stated goals, with the Company receiving the Namibian Safety Award for the past four years with the Inter-Mining Safety Certificate (Category 2 – Exploration Companies) awarded by the Namibian Chamber of Mines.
The Company was also proud to receive the Australia-Africa Minerals & Energy Group (AAMEG) Emerging ESG Leader Award (ESG in the context of a uranium explorer in pre-development) for its inaugural 2020 Sustainability Report. This Award was sponsored by the Minerals Council of Australia.
